CABEZA DE RATÓN (MOUSE'S HEAD). 20 YEARS OF THE STUDIO FIGUEROA-VIVES

So called Artists’ Studios are been multiplying throughout Havana in recent times. The variety of formats shows how much has changed this entity since its inception. Today, most of them are hybrids derived from the foundational concepts of the workshop and collaboration, but with a new type of packaging which camouflages their new promotional and commercial roles. We should not fear to such transformations because they are undeniable signs of changing times.

IMPACT IN ITALY

Echoes of INCUBA  - the wonderful exhibition presented by photographer Niccolò Guasti at the latest edition of the Havana Biennial – have reached the shores of Italy. A recent article  published in the prestigious weekly magazine “IO Donna” (supplement of the Italian daily newspaper “Corriere della Sera”) reproduces the portraits of the 22 artists taken inside their respective workshops.
